In his most famous speech, "I have a dream," Dr. King laid out his vision for the future, and then backed it up with actions. He was not perfect by any means, and neither are we. Yes, his life was flawed in some aspects, as are ours. Yes, he was controversial. Yes he was hated by some, but he was motivated to change the world, and to make a difference.
So what is your big dream? Something bigger than yourself. Not just to retire or to live a good life. While those are certainly admirable, are they going to change the world? What can you do to leave a legacy? To make the world a better place than when you came here?
John Kennedy put it well when he said, in his inauguration speech "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."
So I ask you now. Do you have a dream? And what are you going to do about it? Back it up by actions.
See life differently.
