Because we live in a fallen world. No matter what your religious beliefs are, or if you have any at all, this one fact is not in dispute. Danger lies everywhere it seems, and crime is worse than ever. It is hard to know who you can trust and who you cannot. Life is hard, and some will argue that it is getting tougher.
But Jesus came to give us hope. He came so that we "can have life, and have it abundantly". He came to show us that there is a better way.
What better message could we put into our writing than one of hope and redemption? When all seems lost for your characters, a splash of our eternal victory can shine a whole new light on things. We are all charged with spreading the word, but the Bible does not tell us how to do that. We must each choose how, when, and to whom we will share. Authors choose to share through their books.
Make it count.
See life differently.
