Jesus was born a King. He was, and is the greatest royal family of all time. He lives even still. So why, then, did he come in such circumstances?
Jesus came in humility. He did not come by force to take the world by storm (although some would argue that's what His ministry was like), but to show people what love is all about. He could have told us, but He chose to show, by living example, what He wants us to do. God could have created us to be a bunch of worshipping robots, and Jesus would never have had to suffer, but He didn't. God wants us to want Him. It's not by force. It's by choice. Our choice.
What difficult choices do your characters have to go through? What life altering choice do they need to make? And does that choice involve God? One thing that we all struggle with is doing the right thing. Making the right choice. And God wants everyone to make the eternal choice.
How can you influence your readers through your character's choices?
Make it count!
See life differently.
