Deadlines | While it may seem unrealistic, before Christ was born, he was on a deadline. The time had come for Him to make his grand entrance. It was time for his Launch Party. His arrival was announced by a Heavenly Choir, and witnessed by the meek of the earth. It was time. He did not ask for a delay. The story did not take a sudden turn. There were no plans for a sequel, or three part trilogy. Sales were not discussed around a meeting of the elders. The tiny Christ-child was delivered in time, without delay, in perfect coordination with the carefully laid out plan that the Great I Am laid out. When you have hit your deadline, do you panic? Does your story change? Or did you stick to the carefully laid out plans? Sometimes the first initial draft is the best. If we spend too much time trying to change and perfect things, it can completely change the meaning of the story. Go with your gut. Follow your instincts. Listen to that still, small voice inside... It will never steer you wrong. See life differently.
