Now Day 3, Mary shared the good news. She went right to her cousin's house, who coincidentally was pregnant too, and told her. In short, she got her peeps together. She rounded up her tribe for support and encouragement.
Writing is a solitary experience. For myself, it needs to be absolutely dead silent for me to get anything done. No TV, no radio, no white background noise. Nothing. So, when I need support, I go straight to my writer's group. We have become so much more to me than just critique partners, they are my sisters.
Genesis says, it is not good for man (or woman) to be alone. No matter how much we cherish our alone time, or our writing time, we need the support of family and friends... the ones that can stand to be around us anyway! (That's another blog post completely!)
So, circle the wagons, and hang out the secret-coded laundry. It's time to flock together and lean on one another. Mary did it. So can we!
See life differently.
