I am not one to typically get into the political arena. Yes, I vote, but I do not normally find it necessary to get into the drawl of the debates... until now.
I have voiced my fear over The Donald becoming President of the United States to my family, and now it is time to make it public. I am truly afraid.
I ran across this letter from a journalist in New York. I urge you to take a moment and read it. It belies everything that I have been feeling. And for those of you who are Trump supporters - I know he is a breath of fresh air, and an alternative to the career politicians who have let us down, and lied to us too many times to count. I know that he is something new and different - a shiny new toy to play with, but I urge you, please, listen to the emotion and the intent behind the words. This is not how civilized people treat each other. Walling off our country and blocking everyone who "isn't like me" is not the answer.

But I can’t understand why you would support someone as hateful, sexist, racist and ignorant as Donald Trump.
