Another time-saving tip: Limit your time out to once a week or so, if you can. Don't go out just to go out. When you are on a deadline, your dates are with your computer and no one else. RSVP ahead of time whenever you can. That way you can avoid time standing in lines and waiting. Schedule as much as you can. Carry cash so you can go through the express lines at the store. Make a list, and run to the store at the end of the week rather than when you remember you need something. Come straight home from work and do not make any detours. Every minute spent doing extra things, is a minute you could be spending on your manuscript.
Try to think of things you can cut our of your daily routine. Things that don't really matter, and you do almost on auto-pilot. I'm sure there are at least one or two things that can be altered for the sake of writing the Great American Novel!
