I saw it!

At church on Christmas Eve we heard the story of the birth of the Christ child. I love watching the children re-create the story. There was no room in the inn. He was born in a manger. And how the three wise-men followed the star to find Him. It was as comforting as it always was. After the service I drove home feeling the familiar peace of knowing that I beling to the King.

As I rounded the last corner to the street I live on, the sky seemed a bit brighter than normal. That's when I saw it. The star. Today we call it the North Star. It is the star that people navigate by, sailors chart by, astronomers look for. It is also the star that the Wise Men found the Messiah by. And for me it is a reminder that God is still there.

God is the same yesterday, today, tomorrow, and for all eternity. If you are searching for something, look for His direction.​​ You will find it in the most surprising places.

Look for your star. See where it leads you to in this next year.
