In Biblical times, the land owners would pay workers to go and harvest their fields. But in doing so, the land owners would instruct their workers to leave the edges of the field untouched. Also the threshing floor would often not be swept. This was so that the widows, the orphans, and the needy could go and glean from the fields to eat. It was the original welfare system. God provided a way and a means for the hungry to still eat, but the kicker was they still had to work for it.
So what have you been waiting for? What have you been asking God for that has not come through? I'll bet if you get your hands working toward that goal, and thank Him for the gleaned amounts each day, that He will bless the works of your hands. Pretty soon that goal will be met, and you can start on the next.
Blessings on your works this week.
Until next time:
Peace to you and yours,
