But what I've noticed in my later years is that some people take that tactic for weakness. The button-pushers push you to the point where you are completely gone. They think they win, and you are the weak one for either tolerating this, or for "running away." There is a big difference between walking away, and running away. One is done in fear, and the other out of disciplined self-control.
Jesus knows what it is like to be talked about, pushed around, and beaten for no good reason. The only reason why He was killed was because others did not like what He had to say. That's it.
Sure it's easy to fight back when someone is pushing you beyond your ability to cope. But is it worth it? What will you gain from it? Christ is our example. Stay true to yourself. Respect yourself. Don't lower yourself down to their level. Just walk away. Walk away following Christ. He will never lead you wrong!
Until next time:
