When is it ok to lie?

It's not.

But at some point it has become fashionable to lie, rather than hurt someone's feelings.

Let's think about this.

If you have to lie about your behavior in order to spare someone's feelings, let's take a look at the behavior. Maybe that's the bigger problem.

And, another question is, who are you lying to? Could it be yourself?
