Why do we always have to give God a but? If we are willing to follow Him, to accept His will for our lives, and to trust Him completely, there should be no but. But, there is that human side of us. The side that wants to feel good in this world. The side that wants just a little bit of control in things. The side that wants things the way that we want them to be.
Some questions to ask yourself when you try to give God a but:
Are you really prepared to follow God?
Is what you're doing really for Him, or for you?
Do you COMPLETELY trust Him?
What if the direction you are being led is not what you want to do?
Will you still go?
If you don't get your 'but' will you still do it?
I don't think God has a but, but that's just my own opinion. God gave us free will. The will to be able to make our own decisions, right or wrong. So if we don't chose correctly, does that mean He will stop loving us? No, absolutely not. It just means that we will not live up to our full potential here on earth. So long as you believe that He is real, He gave His Son to die for you, and He lives to this day, then you will see Him in Heaven. That is a Bible promise.
BUT, trusting Him in this life, no buts attached, will give you a freedom and a peace that you never thought possible.
Try it with something small and see what happens. The move on to the bigger things. He is waiting, without any buts...
Think it.
Dream it.
Do it.
And encourage each other on the way.
Until next time:
Peace to you and yours,
